This limited edition Staub 5.5 quart oval cocotte is just great. I was initially very hesitant to place an order for this particular item to try it out since many reviewers indicated that they had received defective or damaged cocottes with improper packaging. However, it was too much of an awesome deal to pass it out. Anyway, I think I”m in good hand since I order it from Amazon and Amazon have very generous refund or replacement policy. Well, it’s arrived in perfect condition and I just love it:)

I Just received this 5.5 qt. cocotte. It arrived in perfect condition and is beautiful. It must be the color that makes this a “limited edition” as they have retired eggplant. This price is by far the best I have found anywhere. The suggested retail is about what you will pay anywhere else. Excellent product made in France with much of the labor done by hand. Comes with several recipies from well known chefs to get you inspired. Enjoy! – Ed
“My mom’s favorite! I got this as a gift for my mom for mother’s day because she’s been wanted one for so long. She absolutely loves it. Use it for everything from soups, to stews, to braising meat. She never understood the expense, but now that she has had a chance to use it, says she should have purchased this years ago – as it has replaced a few of her other pans. She appreciates the quality.
